Jane Sanger, born in the South East of England and started life as a child actress and trained
at Laine Theatre Arts In Epsom, Surrey. She later went on to university to study History of
Art.
Throughout her life Jane has taught drama and art to schools and universities and in her
own workshops, including Film In a Week, Script in a Week and showreels and various
seminars on film financing.
She is primarily a Director, Writer, Producer but is also trained in Intimacy Co-ordination.
Her favourite genres are period drama, drama with a social issue and thrillers.
She has directed and or produced 30 short films, several corporate adverts, 2 feature films
And won 60 awards for all aspects of film production. These include two selections at
Cannes, Unchosen Charity, prize winner with a film about slavery, inclusion of her film in a
webinar from RIBA about housing and awards from festivals around the world.
Apart from film, Jane is interested in theatre, art, music, reading, yoga, gardening, conscious
consumerism and travel.
